“I have never liked visiting the dentist I always feel very nervous, like many other patients.I have experienced many dentists looking after my teeth and the most dentists I have...” found were very rough.In 2015 I made an appointment at Mydentist and asked if I could see a dentist that was very gentle, the receptionist said “I will make an appointment for you to see Chet”A few days later I met Chet, after introducing myself I told him how nervous I felt and how embarrassed I was as my teeth were in a terrible state. To be honest, my teeth were a mess, only myself to blame I didn’t look after them too much sugar and lacked cleaning them properly.Chet very carefully checked over my teeth taking many X-rays and colour photos.Chet suggested that we needed to try and arrange a treatment plan due to the amount of work that needed to be done.The first appointment was to repair a couple of old fillings and I was really nervous not so much about the injection but the dreaded drill.Chet clearly explained what he was going to do and if I was experiencing any pain just lift my left hand up.
Both fillings were done it wasn’t that bad after all.The second appointment was a few weeks later more fillings, but this time I wasn’t nervous.
The reason why I wasn’t nervous is that I have full confidence and trust in Chet, he is very gentle and caring.Eventually, the treatment plan was completed this involved many appointments.My teeth are now healthy, with the help of an electric toothbrush that Chet suggested I should use instead of a manual brush.I always remember asking Chet what was the difference between an electric and manual toothbrush.
He replied saying “how do you clean your house with a dustpan and brush or a hoover?”
I said “a Hoover” Chet said “an electric toothbrush is like your hoover it does a far better job than a dustpan and brush”That was a funny moment.
I would like to thank Chet very much for his time and patience, he is a very professional dentist and genuinely a very caring person.
