Dr Anneka Kapoor graduated from the University of Leeds in 2011 after an exciting and for filling dental charity trip to Peru in 2010.
During this trip she examined and treated young children, pregnant women and mums in an under privileged area who don’t have access to routine dentistry or oral health advice. Dr Anneka, also known as Annie, thoroughly enjoys working with children and teaching them about how they can look after their teeth and how diet makes an impact on their oral health. She likes to focus time on discussing preventative measures with patients from diet to oral hygiene advice.
After completing a 12 month advanced restorative and aesthetic dental course Dr Annie, took a keen interest in cosmetic dentistry and creating facial harmony. This then lead her to train in facial aesthetics which enables her to not only improve patients teeth but also enhance their natural features. For Dr Annie, the facial aesthetics is not to create perfection or smooth every single line or wrinkle but to leave the patient feeling more confident, rejuvenated and refreshed. Dr Annie has a great eye for aesthetics and is able to create subtle, bespoke, natural looking enhancements using chemical peels, wrinkle reducing injections, sunekos and dermal fillers.
Dr Annie’s friendly, gentle, caring and chatty personality makes her incredibly popular with her patients. If you come and see her you may have to ask her to stop talking about food and her children, as she often likes to discuss her meal plans for the week and give a detailed history on how her children sleep patterns!
Her most memorable dental experience was working as mobile dentists providing dental care to elderly patients in care homes across the Sunshine Coast. It was both a rewarding yet emotional and eye opening experience.
Outside of work she enjoys cooking, yoga, hiking, playing hockey, travelling and spending time with her children.
