What is the anti-wrinkle treatment?

Anti-wrinkle treatment temporarily prevents the muscle from receiving the nerve transmission, reducing the muscle contraction. By reducing muscle contraction, wrinkles cease to appear and skin looks smoother and more youthful. Anti-wrinkle treatments are made up of a substance called botulinum toxin, which has been safely used to improve the appearance of ageing skin for multiple decades.

Which areas of the face can be targeted with anti-wrinkle treatment?

Forehead, frown lines, crow’s feet (eye lines) bunny lines (nose lines): reduce fine lines around one of all of these areas, for younger-looking skin.

Corners of the mouth: reduce lines at the corners of the mouth to reverse an upside-down smile.

Lip lines (smokers lines): reduce lines caused by smoking around the lip area, neck.

Chin (dimpling): the chin area can be softened with anti-wrinkle treatment, to create a more youthful and less harsh-looking aesthetic to the face.

What to expect from anti-wrinkle treatments

Like dermal fillers, anti-wrinkle treatments take very little time to administer and you can return to work or your normal routine afterwards.

As with all facial aesthetics treatments we perform, you will be asked about your medical history beforehand, so we can make sure you’re suitable for treatment.

The skin is disinfected and the areas are marked out with a pencil. The treatment is then administered using a very fine needle and a post-procedure cream is applied.

Aftercare

Drink plenty of water on the day of the treatment.

• Avoid alcohol and exercise for 24 hours.
• Refrain from touching the area for 3-4 hours.
• Remain upright for 3-4 hours.
• Avoid sunbeds, facials, chemical peels and facial hair removal for 7 days.
